Maximum Temperature – July Average
The average maximum temperature for the month of July currently ranges between 14ºC and 22ºC. The lowest temperatures are in the uplands and the warmest temperatures are concentrated in the east of the region, especially around Tyne & Wear, County Durham and Tees Valley.  The coastal margin is slightly cooler than inland areas, due to the cooling effect of gentle sea breezes during the summer.
